A coffee maker you can program to brew in the morning

What are some items, purchases or acquisitions that made a noticeable positive difference to your life? (Splurges are fine but ideally smaller things that just made your life easier or slightly happier.)

Maybe I'm just a cavewoman, but it makes my mornings so much easier when I can program my coffee to brew at 6:30AM so when I get out of bed I can drink ASAP.

You know I tried a Nespresso for the first time in August and while I felt fancy using it, I didn't like that on mine I couldn't get it brew a cup of hot water, i.e. without the little cup.
