I miss ye olden times when Instagram showed me everyday candids of my far-away besties. We have now RECLAIMED THAT JOY by sending a Sunday photo dump to one another in the group chats each week. I want to see the dinner you were proud of making! I want to see the baby you made or the concert you went to or the way light streaks across your wood floor in the afternoon! This has also been an excellent, low stakes way to keep conversation with beloveds alive.

I do this with a handful of long distance friends - five pictures every Friday. The more mundane the better! Show me the real moments, not the ones in insta. I look forward to it every week
