Owning a record player

I love how music sounds, how it pops and fizzes. Having a limited physical selection. How listening romanticizes chores. Love to hear it accompany a picnic dinner on the floor with esoteric conversation.

I have owned a record player for ~10 years and it features heavily in my families favorite memories ✨ I liked using my generous roommates setup so much when we moved out my partner and I got our own.

Mine is great and it was new to me and gifted. I would have bought a used one if I was in charge - I’m not an audiophile and I don’t think it needs to be a specific model or very high end to create the experiences I enjoy.
