It doesn’t matter that there are no ‘real’ words in this book, you and your kiddo will get the plot 😆 It’s a funny read aloud picture book with so many details of storytelling. It is playful, suspenseful, laugh out loud funny.

This was one of my youngest’s (now 15) favorite books. They still go to if for Carson Ellis’ beautiful art for inspiration. ✨

The illustration does a ton of storytelling here! My kids are always looking for details on the page and pointing out how the slug has moved, or that a mushroom had grown bigger. There are so much going on in tandem. I love that this is a book with longevity on your family’s shelf ❤️
