I’m 33 and feeling the urge to quit my job, maybe start a creative biz… (Context: I’m planning to hike the PCT for about 2 months next spring.) Looking for any advice on how to navigate this transitional time, changing how I make money, figuring out what I’ll do when I’m back from trail, what I should do in the meantime to plan, etc.

I was freelance for about a year and a half and it can be super fulfilling, but the grind to find clients/get off the ground in the beginning can be tough. Having a good savings base will let you focus more time on the creative side of what you pursue and let you say no to things rather than need to take every gig that comes your way. Good luck!
