Helping turtles cross the road

Taking surface streets rather than the highway. Developing terminator eyes for shell shapes on the roadside. Fast u-turns on two lane highways. Flashers on, cars whizzing by, the alien feeling of being a human in a place for meant for cars. How the turtles aren’t just not cars, they’re turtles. Being filled with an enormous love and sadness. I moved eight turtles across the road this year!
