Host a dessert potluck

Five years ago, I was pregnant on my birthday (which is in late October). Still loving a good birthday party, but not wanting it to be alcohol-focused, I had one of my most brilliant ideas: a dessert potluck. The rules were simple: make a dessert to share and come watch a scary movie in our backyard. It was such a hit that it is now tradition.
