crying in front of your kids

My kids see me cry all the time. I cry very easily! I grew up in a german Lutheran farm family that very rarely showed an emotion of, really any kind?? Good people! Trying their best! But I didn't know how to be around people having feelings? I had to do a lot of growing, but my kids already know how to be around a crier experiencing the expansiveness of being human! Things I have cried about, lately:

• the cricket episode of bluey (it takes a community to raise a child!!😭) see also the sleepy time episode (the mom is their sun! 😭😭)

• The lays potato chip commercial where the dad hands over the farm to his daughter 😭😭

• Heart the lover (this was a nice long cry)

• An elderly woman mailing a lot of letters at the post office

My kids know it's ok to cry / feel things because, lol, here's their mom! They learn what's normal and ok (at least partially) from you.
