Any recs for Ottawa in December? Already on my list are skating the canal and the national gallery. Big on museums, cozy restaurants, and attractions that are activities rather than locations (eg skate the canal rather than go to a neighborhood just to look at it/feel a vibe).

The hotel decorates for the holidays with a bunch of donated Christmas trees from local businesses! They also have a holiday-themed afternoon tea and typically a pop-up “Elf Pub” that’s fully decked out. It’s such a cozy vibe and at the beginning of the canal, so a great spot to go after skating!
