This small, bustling Sag Harbor massage place is very uncharacteristic of the Hamptons—it’s year-round, affordable, unassuming. The masseuses, many of whom commute from Flushing, Queens, are all great. To me, the perfect break from work is to read a book during a $49 1-hour foot massage. They even have book lights, a nice touch. 2 Bay Street, Sag Harbor

“Sag Harbor Tavern is the east-end outpost of Billy Durney, of Red Hook Tavern fame. His well-loved burger is on the menu, as well as great pastas and fish and chips. 26 Bay st, Sag Harbor.”

“The public can visit the former home of artist Lee Krasner and her husband seasonally, May - October, by advance reservation. Furnishings and artifacts remain as they were at her death in 1984. There are also rotating exhibitions from contemporary artists.”

“Go stand on the paint splattered floor of Pollock's painting studio, tour the house and peer out at the water. I vote go for the 4pm self guided tour, go on an off day. I've been twice and we've had the place to ourselves both time. I am a big fan of visiting studios and homes of artists and architects. You will be transported.”
