Yes I’ve just started this! My little boys have collected rocks from places like our backyard to all over the world. I always find rocks in my pockets and bags. I just started putting them in a bowl to display and it makes my kids so happy to see.

I like this idea better than our magnet collection that has become gaudy and out of hand 😆

I hear you! I also like to put magnets on the back of my front door rather than the fridge because I like the clean look of the fridge. Tha said, I also live in an apt in NYC with a door that works for magnets so this would likely not work as well everywhere. :)

wait I love this! and a great alternative to shells, which removing could disrupt the local ecosystem <3

Omg LABELING the rocks.🤦‍♀️ Genius. I have a rock collection from many far flung places but i have forgotten where most of them come from. Now its kind of giving Home Depot pebble mix but there is enough of a sentimental aura to them still that I could never throw them away.

haha I totally get that! Just a little "city name, year" in sharpie on the back will solve it for the new rocks, don't you worry :)
