River by Leon Bridges
Recommended by AMBI’m realizing I have so many songs that make me feel so many emotions so deeply, but if I had to narrow it down to just one, I choose “River” by Leon Bridges.“River” makes me want to cry, but in a freeing way. Bridges is my current favorite (living) singer. I love his tone, emotion, and the message of faith. He also reminds me of Sam Cooke; Cooke’s song “A Change is Gonna Come” is probably my #2.

This is also a fave of mine. . Like it makes me wanna fall in love but also makes me wanna cry... how does he do it. Some kind of genius sorcery. I loveeeee Leon.
I have the fondest memory from back about a decade ago when he performed in Melbourne at my favourite venue (The Forum - I need to make a rec dedicated to this historic architectural masterpiece).
I had never experienced a live show like it. I would say I felt enraptured and I have never used the word enraptured before.
Highlight was when he did the iconic cover of Pony and I swear it got the whole audience pregnant.
