My year of rest and relaxation

$39.75

Laugh-out-loud hilarious, deeply engaging, extraordinary dialogue and impeccable pacing. It takes place in NYC in 2001, which certainly keeps you turning pages. Her wild characters are beautifully well-drawn, both cartoonish archetypes and also so specific & real.

Read & loved.

I think about this book a lot. All of the Ottessa Moshfegh books I’ve read are SO good.

“I know this book gets mixed reviews but I personally LOVED it. Could not put it down. Prompted me to consider why I make the choices I make everyday, and how participating in daily life at a certain point becomes a choice.”

“The book is such a propelling read on its own, but Julia Whelan, GOAT of narrators, narrated the audiobook and adds even more to it somehow. This is a master class in bringing voice to the written word.”
