Learning about apples

I have lived in maine for over three years now and I’ve dabbled in learning about apples the last couple years but this year I’m fully ROMANCED by apples. There are so many incredible varieties, and they ripen at different times of the fall. Every single apple seed that is planted grows a unique apple tree. Apples are magic! Some of are eating! Some are for baking! Some are for fermenting! I tried two new to me varieties today, Orange Pippin and Crimson Crisp and it felt like I was at a wine tasting or coffee roasting again. The wild apple culture, history, and devoted apple freaks in maine are something to behold.
