Sir John Soane was an architect, collector and designer who it’s safe to say has influenced centuries of designers with his buildings and inventive design techniques.
In his home, now a museum, he assembled an amazing array of antiquities, architectural fragments and other artifacts and has arranged the spaces they inhabit playing with light, color, reflections and volume.
As a designer I’m a little embarrassed to say I haven’t been here yet, but it’s at the very top of my list next time I’m in London.
