Sabrina (1995) is a perfect rainy day movie with it's once upon a time fairytale quality and the multitude of incredible interiors (plus an obviously star-studded lead cast supported by some amazing character actors who hadn't quite broken through. Succession fans look out for J. Smith-Cameron!)
The Larrabee family estate is obviously stunning - we get a little tour in the opening scenes - but for my money I'm honestly more tempted by the Fairchilds' apartment above the garage with its English country house feel.
It feels like a place where the dog would be welcome on the sofa. Slightly tatty, overstuffed upholstery (check), stacks on stacks of books (check), wonderful Federal style millwork and fireplace (check), mixed plaid and striped textiles (check). I could move right in.
