And audiobooks! And you can be connected to more than one library on Libby if you are a member at a few.

If you download to Kindle, then put on Airplane mode, even if it returned, you can still keep reading it.

And some library collections have “magazine racks” - where you can get new issues of magazines. New Yorker, NY Mag, NY Review of Books…

I still cannot make my libby app hook up to my Kindle! Any advice?

Oh no- hm I haven’t had this issue myself, but maybe try the troubleshooting steps here https://help.libbyapp.com/en-us/index.htm , or contact them here? I feel like they’re pretty responsive https://help.libbyapp.com/en-us/categories/need...

Also recently learned about the flower bouquet thing you can tap on when you return a book early (and disappointed I did not know about it sooner!)

I just learned that anyone can have a Queens library account for a $50 donation! Worth it if you read a lot and come from an area with a tiny library system like I do!

Has been a lifesaver for postpartum after all three of my kids. I can’t get to the library often or even turn book pages without waking a baby sleeping in my arms, but I can sure as heck check out and read ebooks on my phone! It has become a cherished tradition that I go on a reading spree.

“Libby might just be the love of my life. Access to your library’s ebooks and audiobooks. Plus you can connect multiple library cards to the app.”

“Libby—the greatest app of all time. I use it CONSTANTLY, mostly for audiobooks, but also to download craft books and cookbooks to browse on my iPad. (I have a hard time retaining info I read digitally, so I still like to read on the page when I can.) A trick: get as many library cards as you can (I have 4); this is good for you (increased chances that one library will have the book you’re after av”

“Managing your Libby app and library holds like a hobby—checking, adding, researching, pining, (un)suspending holds, getting Lucky Day books, seeing that you’re 235th on the list for a book, requesting new purchases, monitoring….all to have five books become available at once.”
