the belief that this will change

i asked my friend who used to be a pro poker player how he deals with bad luck. his advice was basically that bad luck can’t last (then again, neither can good luck) and at some point the bad luck will exhaust its energy and the tide will turn. it helps to believe strongly “my luck is changing.”
