Katie Crutchfield’s music has been a part of my life since maybe 2013 when my brother introduced me to songs off of American Weekend. There is something about her music that has woven its way across my life since then, and I never feel like I’ve outgrown it. Her two most recent albums, Saint Cloud and Tigers Blood, are incredible — there’s a maturity and an evolution within them, but it’s all Katie’s voice. I’ve watched her “NPR Tiny Desks” and cried. I’ve seen her in a Boston theater, and in the grass at the Mass Museum of Contemporary Art in the Berkshires. Listen to it all! And listen to her band “Plains” with Jess Williamson, and “Snocaps” with her sister Allison. Snocaps also features MJ Lenderman, so it’s a double whammy!

I’m honestly recommending based on vibes, as they are currently out of my price range. They work in small batches, so you’ve gotta be on top of things. This is all small batch, designed in Maine and sewn in Los Angeles. I’m obsessed with it all, and I am determined to get a pair of their jeans, come hell or high water.

Do you want cotton on your body? Well please let me recommend these absolutely wonderful sets. Mix em’ and match em’ to your heart’s delight. I LOVE these as PJ’s in the summer or for lounging around. They are made slowly and in small batches so you may have to join their email list for information. ARQ for life.

In the summer it’s a breeze to slip on and you can adjust the neckline for full coverage or an off-the-shoulder situation. In the fall you can layer a chunky sweater over it.
