How to remember something that comes to you as you’re falling asleep

My high school Latin teacher told us this and I use it all the time, it has helped everyone I’ve told about it! If you think of something important as you’re falling asleep, and want to remember it when you wake up, throw the nearest object to you across your room. You’ll wake up, think, “why’s that there?” And then you’ll remember your sleepy idea!!
