Meal/cleaning schedules
•••
Vary the recipes if you want, but each day has a theme. For me, Monday is beans, Tuesday tacos, Wednesday pasta, etc. Cleaning, same thing. Sheets get washed Sunday, toilets Monday, etc. Most of what I think simplifies my life (as a mom with 3 little kids) is using my energy smartly. Nights are not good for me to be getting stuff done cause I’m exhausted, so I try to front load my energy sucking activities early in the day. A few random things that help me- brush teeth/wash face/take meds after dinner (rather than right before bed) so it’s just done. If you have space/money, buy all household items in bulk so you don’t have to think about them as often. I also keep a little piece of paper that’s a running list of things I need to buy from various stores. I email myself reminders and I set phone reminders if something is really important. Also keeping a to-do list or a planner can be very helpful if you’re the kind of person who likes to check things off.
