If you are looking to degoogle your digital footprint may I strongly recommend downloading Obsidian! Your notes live locally on your devices which means the only one who has access to your data/writing is you. You can sync across devices using iCloud or any other iCloud type service. You can also have it all backed up on an external hard drive. I have a super old computer and I can still use the older version of Obsidian to run on my MacOS Catalina.
Unlike Notion which can literally delete all your data if the company closes, gets hacked, or due to some other admin error, Obsidian is something you “own” once you download it on to your computer/devices (phone/ipad) etc.
Another feature that Obsidian has that Notion does not is the graph view and having the ability to see how all your ideas/notes connect.
Lastly, you can finally build effortless databases in Obsidian, something that only Notion was able to provide! Once databases were introduced I officially said goodbye to Notion.

“Anyone who collects lots of information or does a ton of research needs this amazing knowledge management tool. All you need to get started is to download Obsidian on to your computer (device of choice) and go. They don’t ask for your email and you don’t have to create a user name, nothing like apps these days. Most importantly, everything is stored locally (as simple text or markdown files) on yo”

“After trying so many other note-taking apps, I've landed on Obsidian for many reasons. Reason #1: markdown files stored locally on your own computer and not trapped in an app make your work future-proof. (Just remember to back that shit up!) Reason #2: bidirectional links. I cannot live without them anymore. Reason #3: graph mode. You can see your notes as an interconnected web. The more you input”
