Give Mahider ALL the flowers. This local treasure run by Sleshi Tadesse serves soul-warming, affordable, abundant cuisine that stands completely unmatched in Utah's culinary scene. The “Taste of Mahider for 1” ($22) pictured here is a massive communal platter served on top of pillowy, house-made injera. It is a masterpiece of flavor and definitely feeds 3. My husband and I split it every Tuesday night (insider tip: their food seems to be at its most vibrant on Tuesdays), and always have leftovers for lunch on Wednesday. Eating on prem is a fun experience (great traditional coffee service!), but it also makes for ideal Tuesday takeout. We eat it standing in the kitchen, hovered over the clamshell. 😁
