Mermaids (1990)

I say, “hit me sergeant,” far too often.
A gem of a movie. Peak Cher, young Winona, baby Christina Ricci… and Michael Schoeffling (forever known as Jake Ryan)? I’d be outta my mind in love with him too tbh.
Cher is best/worst mom, but what a woman.

“This is a peak fall movie for me but the final kitchen dance scene feels very end-of-school, beginning of summer. It’s so quotable and so fun to see Jake Ryan in another role. Cher, Winona Ryder, Christina Ricci, and Bob Hoskins are all so good in this!”
