I just finished this book last night, I woke up still thinking about it. This would be a fun book club book. Ann Patchett is just the best story teller. I don’t want to give too much away about it, but you probably have heard- it’s about her rebuilding a relationship with her step father that she hasn’t seen in 44 years. It’s just this book full of memories that unveil another layer of truths. I also kept thinking about age, how we age, and the ages of people we spend our time with, therefore the conversations we have, that affect the thoughts we have, you get my drift? Anyway, read it! It’s an easy read after reading something a little more dense.

“Oof that was a good book. It was so good I couldn’t help but barrel through it, though it made my heart wobble. The woman can really write.”

“This just came out in June and I already wish I could read it again for the first time.”

“Oh Ann. Her writing is so comforting. A master storyteller that can turn the mundane into something magical.”
