As someone who is in a childless marriage what are some good ways I can help support my friends who’ve started having children? And more importantly how do you maintain those relationships?

Meals and Company without asking them to get childcare.

I was a young mom, not on purpose, and the friendships that stuck around were my friends that were happy to spend time with me AND my baby (toddler, preschooler, kid, teen etc). It is hard to leave your child behind and when a childless friend is willing to come sit in your backyard or come to a park so they can spend time with you in the presence of your kid - you feel truly loved. Bringing food, even just coffee and a scone, is always helpful too.

Talking Points Dinner Club (TM)

Talking Points Dinner Club (TPDC) is a group that has gotten dinner monthly for 14 years. The trick for it's long lasting success is the structure: everyone brings their talking points for discussion from the last month - victories, losses, recommendations, advice requests. Everyone gets a turn to go through all of their talking points for group discussion and then passes the figurative mic. always on the calendar, second Friday of the month.
