Robyn: The sad dance queen

in response to Maddy

Sad Party songs! Music that says "my heart is broken but I'm gonna dance anyways!"

Building on @dylaryduff @sexyfamousandrich and @thegumbopot's recs, Robyn's whole oeuvre is emotion and sadness packed dance music.

One favorite depressing banger is With Every Heartbeat

"We could keep trying, but things will never change So I don't look back Still I'm dying with every step I take And it hurts with every heartbeat"

Even the lyrics to Hang With Me have that desperation and fear of crushing hard. Depressing banger after banger after banger
