Dads love a good dopp (possibly, they'd prefer one sans customization--but if you're like me you'll do that anyway.)

Gifts that Delight
Camp Snap CS8 Point and Shoot Camera
$199
•••
Ladies, this is the best Father's Day gift for your partner because 1) they're going to be so obsessed with it they'll use it all the time and 2) because they will be behind the camera messing around, you will ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO GET IN THE SHOT WITH YOUR KIDS. I know, I'm a genius. We have two Camp Snap cameras are are obsessed with the old-school nostalgia and modern convenience. It's a rare example of a great marriage between the old and the new that just works. Ordering this camera for my husband... and FEWERBETTER7 saves you an extra 7%.

If you’re shopping for a fancy father, I like to search luxury resale sites for a vintage bookmark (bonus points for getting it engraved) and a book that you think they’d enjoy!

I keep my eye out year round for stamps that I think people in my life would love! I think a sheet of stamps that match their interest and a handsome stationery set or elegant one could be a very thoughtful gift!

patagonia tropic comfort shirt

This is THE all-purpose shirt for any dad or mom or person who loves to be outside, be safe from the sun, and keep cool. Linked the women’s one here, but the men’s one is also great. A huge hit for my parents for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day last year. Bought this for my attempt to hike the John Muir Trail and couldn’t be happier with it. I haven’t used Patagonia’s capilene cool hooded sun shirt because all my research pointed to this one for hot weather and can attest it’s perfect for that. I use it for hiking but it can be enjoyed for any and all time in the sun.

Tickets to a minor league baseball game! The games are more chill, less crowded, and still just as fun.

The Juice is Worth the Squeeze
Carpet bowls
•••
"In the last century most of the Scottish mansions had two boxes inside the door in the hallway, one with a croquet set and the other with a set of carpet bowls," begins a 1991 article in The Baltimore Sun in which my grandmother was quoted. She was the person who brought this bizarre, intriguing, and addicting game to America. My grandparents were not the most child-friendly couple on the planet, but they loved introducing their grandchildren to their obscure and delightful obsessions. She had bowls of carpet bowls around the house (they look lovely) and we were always encouraged to set up a game in the living room. Modern-day reproductions abound, but the good ones are Victorian and worth the hunt.

A subscription to something they enjoy? Movie theater ticket membership, etc. or a gift certificate to a restaurant that they wouldn’t normally splurge on for themselves paired with a thoughtful card and maybe a bottle of alcohol they would enjoy?
