Annotating gifts

Somewhere along the way in our long-distance gift-mailing exchanges, both my best friend and cousin and I started adding explainer tags on our presents to describe where we found them, why we liked them, or how they made us think of the other person. Like a book inscription for absolutely anything else! It's such a nice way to send a stand-in for your own IRL narration, and adds context to any package. The bright array pictured = the contents of a recent birthday box sent by my cousin before I opened them; all of her favorite things from the prior year, including a USB lighter, Quakehold museum putty, and a rugged vegetable peeler.
