I really want to get better at sewing! I'm a total newbie and the only thing I've done (not very well) is hem a pair of pants and make a little bag. What are some great newbie sewing projects, resources, or some beginner patterns to help hone my skills?

I love Syd Graham's patterns and YouTube channel! She gives the best instructions of any pattern designer I've tried and she has lots of videos and resources specifically for sewing newbies.
