My Bernina 1090: One of Bernina’s first computerized models, introduced in the 90s. Almost entirely made of metal, this thing is a TANK WITH PRECISION and gettable as long as you have a Craigslist alert ready.

Juki HZL-F300 Sewing Machine: I've owned a bunch (have been sewing for over 25 years) and always come back to Juki. Right now I own a HZL-F300. It’s solid and does everything I need it to do. I use it for sewing apparel.

It really depends on how experienced you are and what you need your machine to do, as well as how much you want to spend, but everything the brand makes is great.
