how they talk about other people: i'm at an age where i just don't want to be around mean-spirited people. i love gossip as much as the next person for real, so if they have a sense of humor and want to talk a bit of shit, i'm down, but if there's a real nastiness behind how they talk about other people – especially their very close friends – i proceed with caution. i genuinely feel for people who act this way because i imagine they're hardest of all on themselves, but it's really negative energy to be around. and you can assume that that's how they'll talk about you, too!
