Having a radio in your kitchen

This is a nostalgia moment for me because I grew up with NPR on at every hour, but I found an $8 radio at goodwill (that is the perfect matching blue to my nook!)! It sparks so much joy and I don’t have choice paralysis of what I should queue up next on the speakers. Shoutout Lakshmi Singh even when it’s bummer news hearing your sign off gives me peace 🫶

During a miserable miserable homestay during a study abroad, the only pleasantness from the house was that the family kept the radio on 24/7, which was delightful. Endorse.

The absolute best. I brought a kitchen radio back into my life a few years ago and couldn't be happier about it I move between NPR and the classical station. Such an easy and gratifying addition to the home.

Yes! I have been planning on getting a an old skool radio for the kitchen for a while now so I can save myself one less time I have to play something via bluetooth on my phone. I had BBC radio 4 on constantly in my house growing up in England, so since moving to California, KCRW/ NPR, is the best closest replacement I have found.
