Asking your friends for their kids’ sports schedules

As a child-loving childless-by-choice Fun Aunt, I take great joy in attending the recreational activities of my friends’ kids. Once kids reach a certain age, my friends’ schedules get packed with attending soccer games or dance recitals and it becomes hard to make adult plans. That’s fine! Who cares about adult plans? My laissez-faire lifestyle means I retain the freedom to be able drop by at a moment’s notice, a luxury my now-overscheduled friends have lost. With their kids’ game schedules in hand, I can turn the soccer field into their de-facto living room and appear beside them in the bleachers to regain that quality time without any logistical back-and-forth.
