Mon Vert cafe (Woodstock, VT)

found this spot driving thru the darling Woodstock, VT on a work trip.

despite a full lunch line as my witness, I so bravely asked if they sold their Sage Grape chicken salad by the pound (not listed beyond the sando on the menu) — just based on vibes I knew I would regret not trying to make Mon Vert my dinner as well… iykyk

the owner, Sam, came out behind the counter, shook my hand, & so graciously negotiated with me for a pint container chicken salad! even with a line out the door, that kind of hospitality is hard to come by in a lunch rush

definitely give their coffees a try and order some type of bacon sandwich — most delicious, thick, smoky bacon! menu is boasting local ingredients, too
