Young take on an old pastime

I come from a family of birders, all our family vacations involved some element of birding. I’m guessing unlike a lot of viewers, I am well aware of the strange and specific world of ornithology. What I loved about this doc was how hard they worked at this seemingly random self imposed task. They committed fully to such a specific, time consuming, challenging, and expensive goal. And they revealed how many people are doing the same thing every year. They were not making fun of the birding community, not mocking anyone. Just giving their all, revealing the weird stuff along with the beautiful stuff!
