Any recs for helping a 2y-o transition to a new daycare? She's already in daycare, just changing to a new one. We're a couple weeks out and I am STRESSED.

A Song That’s Also A Balm: My kid learned this song, “Grownups Come Back” from a playlist at her first proper daycare. it was a place she grew to love, but the first weeks of dropoffs were tough for everyone. it became a touchstone. something we could sing together whenever she would think about going to daycare and get stressed out (a toddler with a case of The Mondays is truly too sad) and it really eased the worries and made the truth (grownups do come back! We were ABSOLUTELY COMING BACK) feel even more true.

Little Books: This chapter in Jessi Klein’s book, I’ll See Myself Out, describes how she made extremely simple little books to help her young son with upcoming transitions:

"My family is moving to a new house. Some things will be the same, and some things will be different. I will have my same crib and my same toys, but I will be in a new room. I can't wait to play with my mom and dad in my new house!!"
