I wish I had kept a simple spiral bound notebook and noted inside it every date (including year!) and provider (plus contact info) of every improvement, fix, remodel, replacement etc. that I did on the house. And my honest thoughts about the service provider, the company, the communication, etc...you think you will remember (but you won't). Also, lists of paint colors in what room and sheen. It does not have to be fancy, you just need to be consistent. Congratulations on your new home!!!
