Maybe not for everyone, but if you've tried every to do list, organizational app out there and still struggle to get your mind around organizing life, I've found that nothing, for me at least, beats paper and pen.
Sometimes in a notebook, sometimes on old paper scraps, I need to physically write down what needs to get done. Usually organized by category (i.e. "Work" "Personal"), as detailed as possible, so that I can seize the satisfaction of crossing off tasks as they get done.
Do they all get done? No, never. But more gets done this way than otherwise, and something about the hand to brain connection activates me to do more than inputting into a screen.
