For anything consumable (toiletries, cleaning supplies, household items), the next time you run out, just buy two. Over time, you'll cut your restock shopping time in half because you always have a backup. You'll likely never stop brushing your teeth, so why buy just one tube of toothpaste at a time?
Storage space and finances of course come into play here (I got this idea from someone who restocks everything in january and july, which is just not how my personal budget functions!), but tackling items as they run out makes it a much easier task. Also takes away the decision fatigue of constantly deciding whether you want to try a new brand of X thing... likely the one you use is just fine! perfect is the enemy of good, etc etc - choose your brand, buy two, and stop thinking about it.
(also, auto-ship! especially if you get charged shipping, you can double the quantity and place the order half as often)

This backstock-at-first-resupply is also brilliant because it prevents stocking up of untested and potentially lackluster things. The urge is always to get the bulk variant, but that can backfire if it's not good in the first place.
