Life is better since I started mixing up my own hand soap. Dilute (dilute!ok!) some unscented Dr. Bronner's unscented soap (or any unscented hand soap of your choosing) in a glass pump bottle, and (this is the fun part) add drops of essential oil. Bergamot or lavender are my go-to's, but if you have a little essential oil collection you can get wild with it. If it's winter, you can guarantee I'll have a balsam fir situation going. Grapefruit and ylang ylang is amazing for spring/summer. I just filled up my bottle with a mix of orange, bergamot, clove, and sandalwood for autumn. For the soap by the kitchen sink, I go for citrus. I genuinely enjoy when our hand soap gets low and I get to mix up a little concoction. Free yourself from Big Hand Soap; mix up your own!!

“An old standby. As something of a sensitive baby myself, I appreciate this unscented baby version of Dr. Bronner's. I may just like seeing the words "Magic Soap" on my shower shelf. A bottle lasts you for months. Also good for cleaning makeup brushes. At first I got culty christian vibes from them? But I recently learned that they have excellent politics, which is hard to come by with toiletry bra”

“I always have a mini bottle in my travel case because it’s so versatile (like washing delicates in the sink)”

“My sister-in-law gifted me a bottle, alongside two foaming soap pumps when I was expecting my first baby. This is now a standard item in my bathroom and I buy this by the gallon. For the kitchen we use sal suds biodegradable cleaner. Love that it’s unscented.”
