Station Eleven on HBO

Possibly the most beautiful tv show ever made. The rare occurrence where both the source material, the book by Emily St.James Mandel, and the tv show are amazing works of art. This show did not get enough love when it came out!

So good!! And truly so different from the book, I think they are both really worth spending time with

Agree!! I think the pandemic stuff was maybe too soon to lockdown for folks to engage? I hope people find it!

Adore this show. I watched it during covid shut downs and cried like a baby during the last few episodes 😭

I loved it when I watched it a few years ago and only just read the book this summer… they’re so different but both so gorgeous. I can’t stop thinking about them! What a beautiful mind to be able to imagine this time.

“This show is apocalyptic, epic, hopeful, dreamy, cinematic, full of wonder. It’s a real special watch.”

“When this came out people were talking about how this was such a cathartic show in the midst of our collective COVID-19 trauma. Did we learn anything? Maybe not. I cried so much watching it that I haven’t tried rewatching it. Incredible post-apocalyptic Chicago scenes in mostly winter, then around Lake Michigan in summer. Obviously my favorite character is Frank!!!”
