Crayola crayon inventor, Edwin Binney, donated this park to Greenwich in 1933 after his daughter and wife convinced him to not develop the flood-prone land.
The park serves as a backdrop for community events, recreational sports, a playground and a pond full of turtles.
I easily get an hour walk in here and the side streets.
The willows and calmness feels like Boston Commons to me.
Walkable from Old Greenwich train station and the little main st.
