Stocking community pantries and fridges: A no overhead activity that immediately impacts the neighbourhood. Also an opportunity for kids to practice budgeting for grocery bills and planning meals from pantry items.

volunteering at a local community garden: it's wonderful to be among neighbors of all ages contributing to the health and beauty of a public resource. and you get to move your body and be outside and get dirty!

Phonebanking 🗳️: Last year we set up a full bagel spread and had folks over to all make calls to get out the vote! I always feel better and more connected to my community afterwards. It’s easy to take breaks and chat throughout. Share your nice moments with strangers ☺️I recommend using Vote Save America to find a phonebank. They always include a training. It can be intimidating the first time but there’s a script to lean on and feels easy after a few tries.
