The Finch app may feel a little silly, but it really works well to gamify the littlest things (brush your teeth, take a deep breath, drink a glass of water) that can be hard to do when feeling extremely low. It can pre-suggest these things very well, and also has calming soundscapes, breathing exercises, little journaling prompts, and other digital self care tools built in.

“A completely silly but wonderful app that helps you take care of yourself by taking care of a birb (bird). Highly recommend”

“I’ve had my Finch, Pumpkin, for 681 days. What else can I say I’ve done for 681 days? Probably not much. Sometimes it helps me reach my goals, sometimes it’s just a quick way to check in with myself. If you ever played Neopets and you’re now trying to take better care of yourself, this is for you.”

“This adorable well-being app matches you with a birb friend, who gains energy from you meeting your goals. (Mine is named Waffles!) The developers built in lots of cool supports for taking care of yourself, like having a "first aid kit" for days when you are struggling. All core features are free, but if you pay for Plus then you get extra swag for your birdie.”
