Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple

Skip the crazy crowds at the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and explore the beautiful grounds of this basically empty temple instead. Have a taxi drop you off at the top of the Saga Toriimoto Preserved Street and walk down past all the incredible temples on that road.
