Chernobyl Episode 1: “1:23:45”

This is a perfect episode of horror television. It’s textbook, beat by beat, so much so that it wouldn’t work as a fictional horror movie: instead, it’s a perfect horror account of real events. It manages information perfectly, tells a bunch of intertwined micro-stories, and leaves me with my jaw on the floor every time.
