Died Pretty, Free Dirt (1986)

The magnificent first record from Died Pretty, an Australian band built on the Velvet Underground, Television, Bob Dylan, 1960s psychedelia, and 1970s prog rock. A lot of this wouldn’t sound out of place if it had come out 10–15 years later. (I particularly like the bass-forward groove of “Laughing Boy.”)
