Bite Down - Rosali

2024 (Merge Records)
Have seen a few requests for favourite full album listens - Bite Down would probably be the album I've listened to the most in full over the last couple of years. Love the sound that Rosali Middleman has captured on this album with her ace band: a bit Laurel Canyon, breaks into ragged Neil Young territory at times, 90s alt country-ish also, yep, but the songs always sound so fresh and vital. Fantastic songwriting throughout, with Rewind and Hills on Fire being personal favourites. What a pairing. Oh and My Kind! Look, I just love the whole thing.

Cool seeing all these americana/alt country artists breaking through atm but Rosali should be front and centre of it all.
A barn burning album. Also check out her recent KEXP sesh.
