I also have a Brother black-and-white laser printer and had it on my list of things to rec here but my exact model is discontinued (but still works great) so wasn’t sure which model to rec. This one looks like mine (although mine was half the price in 2021) and @spjpgrd sums it up perfectly. So while yes, Printers Were Sent From Hell to Make Us Miserable, if you get a Brother B&W laser printer that looks basically like this one you’ll probably be a relatively happy camper!

If you want a printer that “just works.” Black and white. Wireless & AirPrint. Toner cartridges that will last years. Over a decade with this bad boi by my side, and nary a hiccup. Hit print for those tickets, directions, or government forms and this thing unceremoniously prints them. And if you do have a paper jam, it’s super simple to pop open and dislodge. After a period of emailing things to my parents for them to print and snail-mail back to us — I know 😂 — my dad suggested they buy us one of these (L2370DW I think). It's been going for yearrrrrrs now.
